CARLSENFILM has its starting point in anthropology and visual anthropology's use of film as a medium. When the film and movie camera was invented, it was anthropologists who initially used the media to document society and culture. The early anthropological film production is today seen as the founder of film documentarism as a genre in which behavior, traditions and everyday life are illuminated.

The anthropological insight helps us to percieve human life in general and the reality of the individual in particular when we are making films. We are in other words working very close with the people whose stories we tell.

Our films are of high quality with focus on the special and individual nuance which mediates a pure expression of the interaction between images and sound. Regardless of the film's idea, script, length and nature each production is tailored to its purpose from a close dialogue between us, you and the cast about message, exposure and audience.

We produce all kinds of films ranging from documentary films over music films to filming internal processes, business cases, lectures, representations or corporate news for private companies and public institutions.

CARLSENFILM goes far both nationally and internationally but the base is north of Copenhagen and we are committed to optimizing skills and develop new ideas no matter where in the world it may be.

"It seems that perfection is reached not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away" - Antoine de Saint Exupéry
